Call for Submissions: General Submissions and “Beyond Science and Religion” Conference Papers

The editors of Arc: The Journal of the School of Religious Studies thank everyone who presented at and attended the 2026 AAR-EIR and RSGS Conference, “Beyond Science and Religion,” held at McGill University from May 7 to 10, 2026.

Arc is now accepting general submissions for an upcoming volume, and we especially encourage conference presenters to submit full-length articles developed from their papers. Accepted articles will be published in a forthcoming volume of the journal.

We also welcome submissions unrelated to the conference. Arc is an interdisciplinary journal that publishes innovative and original scholarship on any aspect of the study of religion.

Submission guidelines

• Articles should be between 6,000 and 10,000 words, including footnotes.
• All submissions will undergo peer review.
• If your article arises from the conference, please say so in your email.
• The deadline for submissions is December 1, 2026.

Arc is fully open access. There are no fees to read or publish, and authors retain copyright over their articles.
